All my life I've been interested in other people's relationships with their family and themselves. It seems so many people have portraits made, you know, the happy-happy-say-cheese kinds of portraits that are pretty, but kind of superficial. They don't say anything about who those people *are.” Honest portraiture is authentic and shows the real love, concern, pride, strength, and so many other things that make us who we really are.
